In the article the authors use geopolitical aspects as a means of formation of the image of the Far East of Russia that are connected with mastering of new territories. As a test bed for his research he considers the territory of the Russian. The work is rich in facts and covers a considerable historic period from penetration of Russian settlers to the banks of Amur river.
